1955 Duo Jet tenor 6128 with a black body and twin De Armond pick ups
This was a production instrument for a short time and I have seen several other examples but this one is unusual in that it is very early and it has the name 'Godfrey' inside. It seems to indicate that it may have been made for the famous 1940s/50s baritone ukulele player, Arthur Godfrey. There is a published reference by a Gretsch employee of that period, Dan Duffy, who supervised custom shop models, stating that he was involved in the making this model of tenor guitar especially for Arthur Godfrey - mint condition.
